I paid for a commercial dryer with the idea it would be very durable and work well. I have had to run my clothes through the dry cycle 2 times (140 minutes) since purchasing the dryer. A repair man came out after it was installed and said the dryer needs good airflow and to only load it HALF FULL. This is not energy efficient or what I expect from such an expensive commercial dryer.

I've wanted Speed Queens for years and finally got a set. I love them. The only thing I could possibly find fault with is the knob for setting the drying time feels a little squishy. This dryer dries fast and is very quiet. Speed Queen sets the bar for all the rest.

We are disappointed that there is no end of cycle alarm. I thought all dryers had that. We were not informed by salesperson either. We would have had to pay $480 to upgrade we were told. Also the dryer does not want to start when set on Max. You have to turn it a little past max. It also seems like the door almost needs to be slammed to close.
The dryer is quiet and we like the lint screen. And we heard over and over that it will last long.

The heavy duty cycle is so much faster than my old washer. The eco cycle saves water if you want that option. The controls are simple dials and intuitive to use. The machine just feels solid. The spin cycles are high speed and that saves dryer time. It's quiet and doesn't go off balance. Cleans well. Very happy with this choice.

I have a Speed Queen washer and wanted to replace the dryer I had with the same brand when it died. Although there are some features I wish it had (like an audible alert signal when it's done), I am enjoying the new dryer.

I feel confident that this was the best machine out there !!! easy to use , low noise, good size and washing options are well thought out. I have recommended to many friends to consider The Speed Queen quality is well known. Most consumers do not know that there are residential models available!!!! We got this because it fit into the smaller space we have.
I like having the lint trap in the front. Easy to clean & remember to clean. But I wish it had a cover. I have to remember to empty it before I remove the laundry. Otherwise laundry will slip into the lint trap & get lint all over it.
The machine developed a rattle within a couple weeks of using it.

On install the dryer was making noise, Installer advised "Normal" for Speed Queen dryers. After about 6 months the noise never went away. to shorten the story after 4 service calls, they replaced the rollers, Drum, Front bulkhead, a shaft and the roller again. As of this review its working fine but after talking to Kalona Appliance barn, they advised we needed more repairs before Speed Queen would consider replacement. So long story short we are stuck with it.

These machines are by far the best washer and dryer I have ever had. They clean our clothes wonderfully. Our towels have never felt softer or smelled so good! I just wish the dryer beeped when done (I find it odd the washer does and not the dryer).

we purchased the commercial model, with a 3 year warranty. after using the dryer, we noticed that it does not have a buzzer on it to indicate that the cycle is finished. call the store and they said that the next model up has that feature. we were not told that or we would have gone up to the 5 year warranty model and paid the extra money. for the price of them, they all should have the buzzer on them

Considering that this is a commercial quality dryer, it is very efficient and dries quickly. Although it is expensive compared to other brands, itis a power house. I waited a month to give my review so that I can give an honest assessment. So far, it has been amazing. The only reason for the 4 stars is that it doesn't have a dewrinkle cycle for when you have left clothes in dryer a little longer.

I'm not too crazy about the control knob because it doesn't "click" onto the setting, I have to just keep twisting until it engages but, my clothes are dry the first time, unlike my previous dryer, and the lint filter is easily accessible.
