Maytag's Award Winning Style

Maytag's award winning style is right out of the late 1920's or early 1930's. Nothing new here, folks. The oven is vented on the front of the oven door, so it dumps lots of heat right in your face as you try to cook on the top of the stove. However, the oven is insulated quite well . The cooktops is 30 inches wide which is adequate, but the depth of the cooking surface (front to back) is too short, so pots and pans often end up touching each other even though they are on separate burners. The glass top surface is solid black in color shows every finger-mark, drip and spill, and is hard to keep clean. The control knobs are confusing to use. Some turn on clockwise ( Low to High) while one turns on counter-clockwise (Hi to Lo). The positive features of the stove: 1) It seems reliable, gives even heat quickly, and (2) Maytag has a warrentee that is hard to beat !

Easy to clean...LOVE it!

I bought the stove a month ago. I usually buy GE but when I found out they are now owned by the Chinese and the quality had gone down I decided to try a Maytag since I had a Maytag dishwasher I was happy with. I really like that the heating coil at the bottom is covered because it make it MUCH easier to clean. The cooktop is easy to clean in spite of what people say. You just have to know how to clean a cooktop. The oven is large so you can put a lot in. There is a timer that counts down the pre-heat time so you know when the oven will be ready. I would have given it 5 stars but the drawer at the bottom isn't deep enough, you can't put much in it. I am very happy with this Maytag stove.

When we took the range out of the box, I saw a chip in the paint and the plastic around the clock and oven controls was bowed. I called the customer service and I was offered a new appliance. I was also offered a discount. I am still waiting for the forms.

Extremely slow to heat up .

I had a 10 year old GE electric stove that the self clean didn't work so I was forced to replace it . This Maytag can't compare to the GE . This takes forever to heat up . Especially the oven it's awful. Going to call to see if I could return it . Wouldn't recommend this to anyone .

He loves it and told his house keeper how much he loves cooking on the glass top stove! CLEANS EASILY

Got this the first of the year (January 12, 2018) and have fallen in love with it since then. It cleans up so easily & sits about 1/2" higher than my other range....which surprised that this little bit feels better. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

The new contral panel and 2 in 1 burner.

The control panel for starting the oven, etc. is very easy to use. Also I can read the clock/oven temperature from across the room. The 2 in 1 burner really makes it handy when I need either 2 large burners or a large and medium burner.

Love my stove! Very efficient!!!

This is the second Maytag range that we have purhased. The first one was less than 10 years old and the oven burned out. Dissappointed that it did not last longer than 10 years.

Maytag again

I had all Maytag appliances in the kitchen when we remodeled our kitchen in Maryland. We had a new house built in Ohio and it came with GE appliances. I have replaced the refrigerator and now the stove and I am very happy with both. Next will be the microwave and then the dishwasher.
