Best dishwasher I have owned!! Works great and never have dirty dishes. The only thing I would like is the option to have the light on in the dishwasher when it is washing. Other than that, 5 stars!!!

This is a beautiful dishwasher, but I don't like the fact I have to clean the dishes before placing them in the dishwasher. The washer does not clean well. Also if you dont take the dishes out, mold begins to form from moisture left in the dishwasher. I would not recommend.

I have had this dishwasher for just about a month now. I have done several loads and am fairly pleased with the results. One thing to note is that the dispenser door that slides to close doesn't always open during the wash cycle. It has happened at least 3 times that I am aware. It has occurred less frequently as time goes on, so perhaps it just needs to be 'broken in' a bit. That and a few dishes not getting well-cleaned are my only two complaints.

This product was delivered about 3 weeks ago. While it cleans well and I like the features that come with it, I have had several washes when the soap pod dispenser doesnt open. Also, every time the door is open all the way, when I go to close it, there is a clunking sound as if something is sticking.

I bought this dishwasher because of all the wonderful features on it! LOVE the tinted window, the handle, the light when you open to disperse your dishes (to can actually view what is in the dishwasher more easily) and the it is QUIET!!!!!!! Love the light that comes on (white) when the dishes are completed. Can't say enough about this dishwasher!!!! It's The Best!!!!

We both this mainly for the window. Significant other was somewhat disappointed that the light isn't on during the washing cycle so he could watch. Lol course, that suited me fine. It is extremely quiet and is the prettiest dishwasher I have ever seen. It does very well cleaning and drying. Another great purchase from kitchenaid.

I am amazed at how quiet this dishwasher is. Just fantastic. I am bummed that the light does not work while it is washing. That would be super cool. Maybe they will come out with a software update to make that a reality.. Gets dishes very clean. It took a few times to come to grips with the silverware holder. I took the perforated cover off one end so I have both worlds. Not too sure when one I prefer yet. It just adds to the adventure...

In one word, superb! Love the effortless slide out top rack! It glides out quietly, and quickly. No tugging needed! And the lighted interior? Fabulous! I can now see all my dishes deep inside that beautiful stainless steel cavern! Love how easily it shuts, and it is quiet! The most soiled dishes come out really spotless and clean. The window is an excellent feature, showing off your clean dishes for up to 15 minutes after the cycle is complete. I couldn't be more pleased

My fault, somehow the reviews that mentioned the light does not illuminate the wash cycle went over my head. The light and window are the equivalent of an oven with a light that will come on only after the timer rings done.
The window offers no transparency during any process. I totally regret spending the extra $600 on a blacked out window that shows nothing.
KitchenAid should provide an alternate wiring for those of us who wanted the light on throughout the cycle.

Purchased about a month ago. It replaced a 13 year old KitchenAid dishwasher that had a bad control panel. The amount of insulation on the new dishwasher is incredible. Triple layers all around the bottom. But wow. This thing is super quiet. Most cycles you don't even notice it's on. The window is nice. But we really like the LED lighting inside the dishwasher. Wish you could turn the light on while washing cycle is on. But this doesn't take away from the functionality of the dishwasher at all. Racks are easily loaded and the cover over the silverware holder is great to separate the silverware. I'm a 29 year union member. I buy American made. I would buy KitchenAid again.

I am a big Kitchen Aidan's I order 5 Kitchen Aid applances in a period of 2 weeks in late November early December 2018 and sent a detailed form and receipts for the rebates . I was told I could not get the rebates due to buying them at Lowes in Wake Forest NC. And when I got my 36 inch cook top it was so damaged they had to take it back after waiting 3 weeks to get the built in a Kitchen Aid oven and microwave and cook top and on top of that the dasher a Beautiful Kitchen Aid dishwasher the pump underneath leaked it had to be reorder and now my 5 door Kitchen Aid Refrigirator will not be in till February 2019 . So I got no rebates 2 damaged and re ordered Kitchen Aid app lace and I am still waiting on the Refrigerator. I love Kitchen Aid applances but this has been a hard process.

We have had this unit for 2 weeks and absolutely love it. It is so quiet you hardly know its ever running. The only problem we had was that we ordered it and it took several weeks to arrive and the 1st one didn't work and had to be returned. Then we had another 2-3 week delay until the new one arrived. Worth the wait though!

I've had this model for nearly 2 years now. Does the job, although I don't think I'd buy an energy saving dishwasher again in the future. The point of having a dishwasher (for me) is to have powerful streams of water to clean the dishes. The fact energy saving models don't even vent properly to save energy by not using the heated drying mode, doesn't make sense. Unless I open the door right when the wash is finished, lots of water remains on the dishes, even with a rinse agent. Also, I wish the light could be turned on during the wash instead of shutting off when you close the door. With window, it'd make sense to have that feature.

We have this dishwasher for about 2 years. It is a great machine and I am sure it outperforms a lot of others. But tat it's price we need to be critical.
1) There is no light function inside during the washing. Let's be honest... we all buy this one with the window so we can see what is happening.
2) There is a major design flaw with the soap box. It positioned to low under the window and it sticks out. If you put large plates in the front it will hit the box and damage it. To the point it's difficult to close.
3) It cleans well but we still get a lot of dirty dishes out of it.
4) The different programs don't seem to have a big influence on those dirty dishes we get back. They seem all a bit the same but longer or more. Maybe I am just expecting always perfectly clean plates for this price...
5) Not everything is dry when it's done. I understand a bowl could hold water. But the bottom of an upside down glass or cup should be dry. Maybe use some high pressure air to blow it dry a bit before the heat cycle starts.
6) I like to open the door and let it air out. So those wet objects get a chance to dry and things can cool down. But when you open the door it keeps the light on. So it has a light when i don't need it and it doesn't when i want it.
At the end I am happy with it and it is super silent.

Selected this model as part of a KitchenAid package on a new construction home. The upgrade price was well worth it! The dishwasher is so quiet you can barely tell it is even on! Guests are always impressed with the look and it has wow factor. What would put it over the top is if the light would stay on when it's washing! Never thought I'd care about a light in a dishwasher but it's very handy when loading/unloading!

I bought this dishwasher because my old GE was a hand-me-down from a friend. Since my little bungalow house is rather small this dishwasher is amazingly quiet during the wash cycle, and that it is energy efficient is a super bonus. So happy that I made this purchase. I love KitchenAid products!

We have had this dishwasher for nearly a year and have enjoyed the purchase from day one. It is extremely quiet and the options to wash and delay are great. It was more than we anticipated to spend, but new we needed a dishwasher that was going to last. The only issue is that the lights don't stay on long enough when the wash starts so we could see the spectacle of watching the dishes get washed.

The window, the whole reason I bought this thing, cries like a baby from the top seal. It's like it feels my pain for making this purchase. I can't rate any other feature because it's broken from the factory which makes it unusable. I'll see if they fix it properly. What company allows a dishwasher to leave the factory leaking? Doesn't leave confidence for the rest of my Kitchen Aid Kitchen.
