Flame control of burners

I wish I could say I am very happy with this new stove that I looked forward to having. Alas, no. I've used gas ranges all my life and have always been able to turn the height of the flame down to where it almost goes out. These do not. Following the directions of adjusting the burners did not produce this effect even though the directions said to turn the adjustment stem down to the point the flame almost goes out. There seems little difference in the height of the flame from medium to low. Also, the small burner is meant to be used for simmering food being cooked. This one has no idea what simmer means. So, there has been very few foods that I've not burned unless I stood right there while they were being cooked. So, needless to say, I am finding this range very unsatisfying and disappointing. I am sorry to have purchased this model.

I love the way it cooks but I think the rounded design of the back control panel area is too retro. The burner covers and the oven racks are very cheaply made and there is very little space between the cook top grills to set a spoon or spatula.

I bought this oven for my parents about a month ago. The oven is larger in cubic feet compared to the older one. The increase in size makes it easier to cook more items at a time. The burner grates are larger to accommodate large pots. You have one large grate covering two burners. The burner area is almost completely covered making it easier to clean any spills. The only issue is the broiler door is close to the floor but having a larger oven makes up for this problem.
